{Story is in Zuko's Pont of View.}
The Boiling Rock, it is the Fire Nation's most secure prison. It holds the most dangerous and toughest prisoners. The prison is surrounded by a boiling lake, making it inescapable.
I signaled to the guards to let me in. They took notice and opened the big, sliver bolted doors. I walked through, and looked around. In front of me was a small sky ride car.
I entered and sat down in the car. I signaled to the operator to start. Slowly, the sky ride took me over the boiling lake. I could feel some of its heat against my face. Finally, I reached the platform on the other side. I exited the car.
I entered The Boiling Rock prison, and looked for cell #13. It was a special cell, located in the back. When I came to it, I took a key out of my robe pocket. I used it to open the door, and shut it behind me.
There, in front of me, was my sister, Azula. She was behind more bars. She was in grey rages, and was sitting down in a corner. She was looking down. Her hair was a mess.
"Look what you've become." I said sternly. I crossed my arms. Her eyes then pierced over at me.
I continued. "You've become corrupted, like Father… wanting power…"
"Shut up." Azula mumbled, looking back down.
"Don't you get it? You've used fear to control people." I said. "Look where that got you."
Azula looked at me. "That's what mother told me."
I froze. "What are you talking about?"
"She told me that… but it's the only way. Trust is for fools I told her…" Azula then looked down again. "She thinks I'm a monster."
"The only fools I see are you and Father," I said shaking my head slowly. "The Avatar and his friends learned to trust me, and look at us now… we are all friends."
Azula moved some of her dirty, messy hair out of her face and looked up. "Friends betray."
"No, May and Tai Lee had a reason to betray you. You have become a monster Azula." I said.
"NO I HAVEN'T. YOU DON'T DESERVE TO BE FIRELORD, I DO. I DESERVE IT. YOU CAN'T PROMISE THE PEOPLE THE PEACE AND LOVE YOU TELL THEM. YOU'RE NOTHING LIKE FATHER!" Azula yelled.
I turned around. "Your right, I am nothing like him, and I never will be." I looked back at her. "I can't believe I envied you for having his love."
I then exited her jail cell. As I walked down the hall, one thing stayed in my mind. Did Azula really see our Mother?
This was my first Avatar short story. Hope you liked it.
