Mr Horowitz was up to no good,
Feeling bored, what's a man to do?
Chores are done, and he had even cooked!
So, he sat at his computer and began a book.
"Now, what should I write about?" he mused,
Something that will keep the masses amused.
A rebellious teenager? A reluctant spy?
Oh Yes! A Teenage Spy!!
And so, Alex Rider, the world's first teenage spy was born.
The story begins when his uncle's killed,
Left alone, and when it was his time to mourn,
The agency made itself known.
"Work for us, spy for us," they said,
Even by doing that, Alex will not be paid.
Before any mission, there will be drills,
Stealth, camping and climbing of hills,
At Brecon Beacons, they provide the training,
To test how well Alex could be coping.
With the K-Unit in tow,
The best bet is to lay low,
With a leader with 'Wolf' as his name,
You can bet Alex needs to step up his game.
But all goes well,
Only till Alex goes to do his mission.
Then it all went to hell,
Getting caught spying, swimming with a jellyfish,
It all comes in succession.
Though, in the end,
Alex still saves the day,
He stopped the virus but shot the Prime Minister,
I guess that's a small price to pay.
Let's not forget the other characters,
Jack Starbright is one of them,
She is kinda like a caretaker,
But the only thing she can cook is bread and jam.
A girl interest for the boy-hero,
Long silky hair, doe-like eyes, that's Sabina Pleasure,
Who cares that she sounds like a porn star?
Even James Bond had Octopussy, Honey Ryder and Valenka.
As Stormrider is well received,
Mr Horowitz smiled gleefully to himself
And decided to write more of the 'Boy of Stealth'.
What comes next is borne out of great imagination,
Coupled with wondrous explanation,
Taking the teenaged-spy to exotic destinations.
Though 'The end' this may be,
