Just a small thing that I wrote a few months ago. Completely forgot about it. (Oops) Anyway... Enjoy!
River woke up on her side feeling someone's arms wrapped around her. Looking over her shoulder she saw The Doctor's green eyes smiling at her. She smiled back, before turning her head back and snuggling into his embrace.
They were lying in a spooning position. Her back was pressed against The Doctor's chest and his arms were firmly wrapped around her.
The Doctor started planting soft kisses along River's neck. River started giggling. "Stop it!" She laughed.
"Make me!"
"Yeah well maybe I will." She turned her head to face him and stroked The Doctor's cheek. He leaned in, but seconds before their lips touched she whispered: "Maybe when your older." And with a smirk she turned her head back so they were in their original position.
"Tease." He accused.
"Oh you love it." She laughed as she snuggled back into his arms.
"I do love it..." He said slowly into her ear. "But you know what I also love?" He asked, before attacking her with tickles.
"Ahh!" She shrieked. "S-stop!" She yelled in between giggles. But he didn't stop. Laughing, he ticked her some more until she had ended up with her entire body facing him. Both still laughing, The Doctor cupped her face in his hands and kissed her. Feeling her smiling against his lips, The Doctor deepened the kiss. She moaned, pulling him closer to her.
Suddenly he broke off the kiss, sat up and said: "I'm in the mood for pancakes. How about you?" River mock-pouted. "Tease!"
"Oh you love it." He pecked her on the lips and pulled her up. "So, pancakes?"
She smiled at him. "Pancakes sounds great."
Not all days were running for your life from aliens you've annoyed. Some were just waking up with the one you love. Some days were so blessed.
