It was 3:12 a.m. in the morning and Jason was sleeping
"J-j-Jason can I-I sleep in here" Ellie asked wiping the tears from her face
"Of course you can but did you have a nightmare" he said half awake
"Yea I-I-it was" she said tears now coming down hard
Ellie started to snuggle into the blankets laying her head on his chest crying
"Shhhhh it's ok it's ok, can you tell me what it was about" he asked calmly
"Okay this is what happened, I was walking down the street when someone started to mug me but instead of asking for the money he just started to punch me and beat me up. Then you came Jason but when I asked for help you just laughed a-a-and you shot me" By now she was sobbing
Jason started to rub her make by making circles around it not knowing what to do. He was felt like a jerk because his sister that is 6 dreamt he would shoot her
"You know I would NEVER let anyone hurt you," he whispered
"I know" she sniffled as she dug her head into his stomach and fell asleep but right before she did she whispered
"I love you"
"I love you too" he replied and then drifted into slumber
