She got that light

AN: Just something I came up with over listening 'She got that light' by Orange Blue. I can just tell you that this song is wonderful even though it can be seen as a little bit sappy

Sometimes when she looked up it seems as if she's by herself, lonely, misunderstood by everyone but always devoted to his goal. Devil whispered in his ear and he tried in vain to reach her world but there are many silent words, raising heads while the silence still sounds. And there are many weeping eyes hand in hand while the wind still pounds. She had always seen right through him, she had known when he had lied. But the cycle never had ended and the curtain of his black hair had buried his tears after his best friend's funeral and after their reprieve though the carpet of gold seemed to be quite near by now. But still, their private happy end was far away even though he had been so sure that she would already know by the time she nearly died underneath the city.

He looked up as she entered his office. Her salute was crisp as ever but something about her had changed after their reprieve half a year ago. She had got that light around her eyes. It was like a gleaming star that surrounded her mind. She had got that amazing smile imbued with soul. And he knew that he needed her hand in marriage, because she was his home, his everything.

He wished that she could hear the sound of his trembling faceless thoughts. And he wished that he could stop the fading of his dream with honest words.
The youth of her voice felt like the touch of falling snow, it always brought him back to life when he had been tempted to give up … or when he had been sitting in the dark, hoping that future would grow even without his eyesight. But the days of his blindness were gone now. He could see her smile again.

He knew for sure he would listen to her stories … and to her heartbeat at night when she was asleep. He wouldn't leave her in times of glacial storm because he loved her with all he was and ever would be.

"Hawkeye," he said as she stood right in front of him. "Tell me where are you coming from?"

She frowned. "You should know," she said.

He sighed. "No … I was wondering if you came down from heaven."

"Excuse me, sir?"

"Well, you are my guardian angel, right? So you should be born in heaven…" he smirked. "And I want you to move in with me since … well … you're my own true love in a foreign home."

A faint blush appeared on her face. "Sir?"

"I never did something like that before, Hawkeye," he said as he took the little box from his drawer, "but … will you marry me?"

A little smile appeared on her face. "Of course," she said.

He got up and took her hand to slip the ring onto her finger before he kissed her softly. "I love you," he said as he held her close.

She hid her blush at his chest. "I know," she replied.

And maybe, it was the most romantic thing she could say. She hadn't to tell him that she loved him to because he knew that she wouldn't have followed him down that path without loving him.
