There is darkness in everyone's heart.
He doesn't really believe it. Kairi, himself even, had never shown any sign of 'darkness'.
But his mind flickers over that night-
It's pitch dark, midmorning showing no sun. He wonders if the sun will ever rise again, the darkness is so thick and enveloping.
The creatures are clawing at him now, and Riku's urging him to come. He can't really believe it's Riku. And where's Kairi? His eyes don't look normal- they look hollow, almost, but they're the only bright thing in this darkness.
Maybe he should just give in and go with Riku.
But those thoughts flicker away as quickly as they came.
Darkness is in everyone's hearts? Yeah, right.
