Taylor looked around cautiously. She was ready to cast a spell if needed. The woods were a perfect spot for a nightbreed to hide. Suddenly she heard laughter. She spun around twice but saw no one.
" Show yourself nightbreed. Stop hiding like the coward you are." She shouted. Surprisingly the nightbreed appeared before her. The laughing stopped but it rang loudly still, in her ears. The nightbreed smirked, baring its long, razor sharp teeth. Its eyes glowed red. It bent over.
" I didn't think you mages were still around." It said mockingly.
" Don't worry. You won't around long enough to think." Taylor said. In her palm appeared a ball of blue flame. The breed straightened itself up. " Now, why don't you just stand still? This won't hurt," Taylor smiled and added, " much." She hurled the blue flame at the nightbreed. It dodged. The breed cackled insanely.
" You'll never catch me, mage." It sneered. The nightbreed lunged at her. Taylor moved quickly. In one swift motion she jumped up behind the breed and hurled a fireball at it. It had just enough time to move out of the way before the flame hit it. The breed extended a long claw and slashed at Taylor. Luckily, it only hit her arm but it was bleeding badly. Something whizzed past Taylor's head and she realized it was a whip.
" Get outta here!" An unfamiliar voice shouted from nowhere. Then, a man appeared. He tugged on the whip. The nightbreed let out howls of pain. The man bit his finger and a blood red sword appeared. He threw the sword at the breed's head and didn't miss. The nightbreed screamed before it disintegrated. The whip and the sword disappeared as well.
" What'd you do that for? I had 'im right where I wanted 'im." Taylor clutched her bloody arm and glared at the man.
" Your welcome." The man said sarcastically. They heard some noise coming from the bushes. A blue-black hair woman walked out with a girl who had brown hair.
" What's going on here, Shido? Who's that?" The woman pointed at Taylor.
" I'm no one," Taylor answered. " Now if you'll excuse me." Taylor teleported herself out of the woods.
Shido, Yayoi, and Riho watched in amazement as the girl disappeared, as if she didn't exist. Guni popped out of Shido's hair.
" That was a mage. I didn't know they still existed." Guni said. The rest of them just shrugged and went to the car before the sun rose.
Taylor reappeared in her apartment. She stretched and plopped herself on the couch.
" What a night," she yawned, forgetting her bleeding arm. She closed her eyes and fell asleep immediately.
I know it was short. But oh well. I didn't have enough cheese so I could not go on. T-T
