One day at the aqua centre while Hawk and Shark were at a baseball game Lioness was on the couch reading a romance novel while King and Axel were in the kitchen preparing lunch.
Axel took time off away from the kitchen since he didn't know what he was doing to sit next to Lioness.
Axel's P.O.V
'Gosh she looks so peaceful and don't forget about hot when she reads.' "Axel shut up she is your teammate and nothing more, you don't know if she feels the same way you do towards her." His mind told him.
Axel was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't hear or see lioness' worry in her face and in her voice.
"Axel! Axel! Can you hear me!"
She gave one other shout "AXEL!"
Axel snapped out of his dreaming and finally responded "Yeah cutie"
he snapped his mouth shut hoping she didn't hear him.
Unfortunately for him she heard him perfectly and said calmly but shocked "what did you just say"
Axel thought up of something to cover up his truthful mistake
then quickly added too quickly "I gotta go and see if King needs help in the kitchen." He then walked off to his room.
Lioness saw him walked off toward his room but didn't bother telling him that the kitchen was the other way.
Lioness' P.O.V
'He called me cutie maybe there is hope for us after all, wait a minute I sound so sad heh heh he ha.' 'But suppose he was just toying with you how would you feel if you admit your feelings to him, but he just laughs in your face because you thought he had the hots for you.' her conscience told her.
For the rest of the day Lioness and Axel avoided each other if one of them was in the T.V room the other would just walk the other way or say to the others that she/he was going out for fresh air.
