Rosalina: "Still Alive"

I am Matthais123. This is Rosalina's version of the end song from the game Portal, complete with mini story line. This is not a full fledged crossover. I do not own Portal, the song, any of the Mario characters, or any of the Portal characters. I do not intend to plagiarize off of Nintendo, Steam, or Source. Rosalina, guardian of the cosmos, mother of the Lumas, stood out on the building on the Gate Planet. She gazed upon the planet that meant so much to her. She knew that down there, somewhere, was her hero, Mario, and the one that he had also saved along with the whole universe, his special one.

As three yellow Lumas floated behind her to accompany her, Rosalina said, "Thank you, I'll be watching over you from that farthest reaches of space." Then, blue clad princess, her blonde hair hanging over her right eye, began to sing:

This was a triumph,

No, not a triumph, a huge success,

It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Comet Observatory,

I do what I must to love my children.

I do what's best for all of them,

Until the universe ends.

And there's no sense crying over every mistake,

I'll just keep on loving all for pure love's sake,

And the loving gets done and you have a little fun,

With the Lumas who are still alive.

I'm not even angry,

I'm being so sincere right now

Even though you couldn't stop the black hole,

And it blew them to star dust,

And scattered their dust across the cosmos,

But then we heard the newborn Lumas cry,

And now they're starting to talk!

And these points I'm making make a beautiful line,

And now they're looking real good and they are growing all right,

Although it's sad they were crushed, it certainly could have been worse,

And from that dust they were made still alive.

And now I must leave you,

I think I prefer to stay outside,

Maybe you'll find peace with your special one,

And Bowser will give up. . .

That was a joke, HA, HA, fat chance,

Anyway, I'll remember you,

Until the universe ends.

Look at me still talking when there's parenting to do,

Once I feel the solar wind then I'll be glad I'm not you,

It's an adventure all the time, and the Lumas are all fine,

I'll miss the planet, but I'll be still alive.

And believe me I am still alive,

With magic I'll be still alive,

And they're reborn and they'll be still alive,

Until the end we will be still alive,

And when you're dead we will be still alive,

Still alive,

Still alive.

Rosalina returned to her beloved Comet Observatory. With a wave of her wand, it transformed into a star ship once again. It blazed blue like a real comet, and flew off into the universe.

Meanwhile, a pearl colored Luma waved goodbye from an ancient crashed Star Shroom. It flew up high, a quiver with anticipation for the adventures that awaited him, and happily sang out two words: "Still Alive!"
