Disclaimer: I don't own Spider-Man.

A/N: Okay, so I was re-watching the Spider-Man movies and this just begged to be written. Hope you enjoy.

Peter Parker.

Spider-Man.

They're one and the same.

Peter Parker was that little boy walking in the rain soaking wet with his bike by his side. That day, I didn't know what encouraged my young mind to impulsively roll down the window of Dad's limousine, calling to the boy I have never spoken a word to. Whatever it was, that was the day Peter Parker entered my life. Eventually, he will take everything from me.

Peter immediately started clicking with my father. I don't know how he did it. I have been trying my whole life to get a shred of attention from him. But I do know that Peter earns my father's praise about how damn 'smart' and 'hardworking' he is without even trying. Then he would immediately start belittling me and say how I, Harry, should take a leaf from his book.

Peter took Mary Jane from me. I loved MJ, loved her like I've never loved anything else. But I didn't get to keep her. Because Peter was not satisfied with just taking my Dad. He needed to take more. So he lured her to his spider's nest.

Spider-Man is the flash of red and blue madness swinging across New York City in the most literal sense. A vigilante of the streets out for the most notorious criminals. The wall crawling, web spinning masked man was a hero.

Spider-Man killed my father. No, he murdered him. And then, all of the news and reports of how Spider-Man was merely a highly skilled criminal and a danger to everyone suddenly made sense. He took my father. He will pay.

They were the same person. And it should be easier now. To finish him. Finish this. But it wasn't.

And in the end, I didn't understand why I moved in front of Peter Parker /Spider-Man, shielding him from Venom while my body screamed, or how I ended up on MJ's lap in my final seconds, Peter Parker/Spider-Man telling me I'm his best friend.

Maybe that's exactly it. Peter Parker/Spider-Man was my best friend too.
