Puck was hiding from his own girlfriend. No literally hiding. It had started a week ago when she'd gotten her early acceptance to NYADA. She'd been on his ass about applying to college all fucking week and he'd had enough of that shit. Seriously what school would accept him? He had a record, his grades weren't shitty but they certainly weren't enough. He just wished she'd just forget about it so he could go back to making out with her without the worry that she was secretly trying to slip some college applications in his bag. Then BAM out of nowhere she appeared like some freaking ninja. "Shit Berry, you been taking lessons from Chang?" he asked scared out of his mind.
"You've been avoiding me" She points accusingly at him with her eyebrow arched.
"No shit Sherlock" he deadpanned, he figured why the hell play dumb when his girl was smarter than him and would probably figure it out anyway? "God help me, Noah all I want is for you to apply yourself a little try, you're special Noah, we both are and we're going to get out of Lima but you have to try"
Something burst in him "No Rachel! I'm not LIKE you!" I'm not special! I never was and I never will be, so why do you just give it up already? None of these colleges will accept me so just leave it the fuck alone" Rachel just stood there shocked till suddenly she burst back at him with vengeance
"Noah Puckerman how can you even fucking say that" He would have totally argued back if it weren't for the fact that she had just used a swear word. An actual swear word! "You are the most stupid boy I have ever met! Do you think I would just give you these application letters if I thought you didn't have a chance? Do you think I would bring your hopes up in vain? You are special Noah, you have an amazing voice and you're grades aren't awful and the fact that' you can't see that… it kills me Noah so yes I'll leave you alone until you start believing in yourself" Tears rolled down her eyes "Don't call me until you're the real Noah Puckerman because I don't like this coward that's replaced him" she handed him a stack of letters and he looked through them. Some were career advice letter while others were college applications and some were grant applications. He realized that even if he didn't believe in himself he had to try for her at least.

Two months later when he was holding a NYU acceptance letter he proved Rachel right and he knew that because of this he could carry on proving her right for the rest of their lives.
