Okay, kinda simple plot, I think, but oh well, read on still! R&R please :3
Kai hated many things, he hated it when his video game discs broke, he hated it when people thought his job wasn't too important, he hated it when people got Assassins Creed mixed up with Call of Duty, he scoffed and muttered "Wannabe." whenever some one did that. But the thing he hated most? Amy's new boyfriend. Not like he'd ever tell her, but he was fairly jealous of him, because he had her and a British accent, he sounded like a spy! That just wasn't fair, Kai was left alone, without an awesome, spy like accent.
"Uh... Kai?" He felt Amy nudge him slightly "I'm not sure how you play your game, but I think your dead." He woke up from his day dream, and found she was right.
"Damn it." He groaned. "All my cool stuff's gone." He sighed, and she laughed slightly
"Hey, you know, there's this thing we have to do, its called work." She smiled, then walked back over to her computer. Ever since she came back to the SFPD, she's been a lot like that. She wasn't as shy and quiet as she was before, and he had to admit, he liked that side of her.
Kai looked back to the screen, and went to close the game, but before he did, he found an ad for a different one.
"Kingdom treasure..." He mumbled the name, and curiosity got the better of him, and he clicked the link. The game seemed good, so he made an account. He stared at the screen confused, wondering what he should call his username. He thought of many things, Spy Kai, King Kai, The Awesomer, but none of them seemed right. Then he thought of it, and typed in Kai the Great. Luckily, that name wasn't taken. He felt like he had finally hit luck.
"New game?" Amy asked, looking over at him
"Yeah, h-how did you...?" He was really, really confused by how she knew, did she suddenly get mind reading powers?
"Computers are lagging, usually what happens when you get a new game." She folded her arms, then her phone vibrated, and she smiled, looking at the text. His knew it was her stupid boyfriend. He sighed silently, and cursed about England under his breath. For the next minutes, there was the mix of 'tap, tap, tap' of Amy texting and the sound of her phone vibrating. It was seriously starting to get on Kai's nerves, it was almost as if her stupid boyfriend knew how he was there, and knew how much he liked her. After about twenty continues vibrating noises, he snapped
"Can't you put that on silent or something?" He tried not to snap at her, but it wasn't said in the most polite tone either
"Sorry." Amy put it on silent, smiling. She couldn't help it. Now the only sound was the 'tap, tap, tap.' and Kai muttered under his breath
"I hate him."
