To the one I love,
You will recall the words that passed between us on a certain occasion. In recalling those words you will readily comprehend what this letter means. I told you that I would lay down my life to keep a life you love beside you and I not only say it but now it is time I will have the chance to act on those words. I am grateful the time has come when I can prove those words to you. That I do so is no subject for regret or grief. I want you to know I will always be there for you. My spirit is with you and I will be watching over you (or under you) from heaven (or hell) as the case may be. Some say that I am doing a deed that is worthy of reward. I don't agree. I am acting upon the confounds of my heart and soul. We all know that you are going to end up in the right place. There is no question about that. I do know however that if I had to chose between you or I being in the right place and the other one would be in the wrong place there is no doubt in my mind you would be the one in the right place for my happiness is your happiness. If you ever need me again I will be there for you again. I don't know how. I don't know when but I do know love will always find a way. Lucie I do love you.
