Jangelo, again … sorry :s just a note: I don't actually like Miracle Day AT ALL, but I had to write a fic for each time they mentioned Ianto (which was all of twice … thanks guys =/) and then Jangelo came along … and all the angsty hot man-lovin' just meant that I had to write about it. Doesn't mean I like MD.
spoilers for MD7 … disclaimer: I don't own
'I'm not letting you send me away.'
Can't he see? You're doing it for his own good. You're doing it because you … because you care for him. And it breaks your heart. Because you know that the only way to make him go is to make him hate you.
'Why? Because you wouldn't be able to find another man? You're not brave enough?'
'You think I'm with you 'cause it's easy? It's not easy, Jack.'
This isn't easy for you either – can't he see? Well, you suppose he can't – you can be a pretty convincing actor when the need arises. No matter how many times you do this, it never gets easier.
'I know. I hear the beads clicking at night, Angelo. Everything we do, you ask for forgiveness afterwards.'
And you try and sound as bitter as possible, even though you understand why he does it, and, Hell, if you believed, you'd probably do it too.
'And that's just sex, imagine if it was love! What would he say then, your God? What would he say if two men could love?'
And you see the hurt in his eyes, the betrayal, and all you want to do is hold him. But you can't. So you carry on – mocking him, hurting him, ripping his faith to shreds.
'Oh! No! That's impossible!'
Your voice is sharp and cruel – you can almost see the cuts it makes on his face. Almost see the scars your words will leave.
'It's impossible, so you can't stay with me!'
You see his face crumple, defeated, and you feel your heart crumple with it. Because you know that if two men could love, it would've been you two.
Thoughts? (or more rants about MD?)
