hello! I wanted to write about lumax today because they are extremely adorable!

and again I haven't ever been that good at grammar but I still try my hardest to get it right so please be gentle but I would love some tips if you guys can think of any.

all the characters belong to the original creaters, I think it's the duffer brothers.

Lucas's POV.

I was sitting on the edge of the pool my feet sticking into the cold chlorine water. this summer has been the best ever, it seems so perfect. I turned 16 and so did max, will is finally happy, Mike isn't all emo over El anymore although it probably pased quickly with all the cuddling they do.

I sat there thinking, letting my mind wander. and then max sat down next to me, I grinned. "hey stalker," she looked at me lovingly then scooted closer.

"hey max, I thought you weren't coming Mike told me you were gonna be babysitting all day." she looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "oh, you want me to leave?" she laughed. "no no" I said concerned, I probably took that too seriously. I changed my tone this time trying to sound calm. "I'm just surprised." she laughed and smiled, her hair looked like silk fire in the sun, in the summer her hair got really curly because of the moisture and heat.

I couldn't keep my eyes off of her, she noticed and laced her fingers with mine.

later we got fully into the pool and swam for hours, the pool stayed open until 7:00 PM and everyone always left at 6:00 PM but me and max decided to stay the extra hour. we were completely alone, a life guard would come check in on us every 10 minutes but other than that.. alone.

the pool was lit up with colored lights around it and we sat at the 5 foot corner.

she looked at me and said "Lucas"

"yeah?" I said. "this is my favorite summer. the more I'm here.. with you, the less I miss California." I smiled again. "really?" I asked. "yeah" we locked eyes for a minute and then she ducked her head under water and swam over to me, she popped up right in front on me. our faces were inches away from each other and I leaned in and kissed her, she put her arms around my head and I huged her waist. my heart was beating out of my chest I could feel that hers was too.

the kiss lasted about 2 minutes, we had never kissed like that before. when we finally pulled away from the kiss it was because the life guard came out to check on us and as soon as he saw what we were doing he turned around straight back into the pool quarters. our foreheads were touching and we were trying to catch our breath, we looked at each other and laughed. I was about to say something but she said it first, "I love you Lucas." I smiled. "I was just about to say that!" I realized I hadn't even taken in the words, I was just stunned that we were thinking the exact same thing. she was looking at me very seriously and I locked eyes with her and said just above a whisper "I love you too." she smiled and flung her arms around me in a hug and then she pulled away and kissed me.

I had never seen her like that, she was very honest and open about how she felt compared to the other times we talked about how we felt about each other, which she has a hard time doing.

we were probably kissing for another 2 minutes and then I just held her in the water, we talked here and there but other than that it was just silence. she looked like she was about to fall asleep and I felt the same.

later the lifegard came out and told is that the pool was closing in 5 minutes so we got our stuff ready and we biked to her house and said good night. we hugged and said I love you once again.
