A/N: okay so this is my first ever fanfic, hooray! Reviews would be very much appreciated. I don't write very often, mainly because I don't think I'm very good. But my friend thinks that so far this story is cute… So let's see what you think :3 I don't know how often I'll be uploading chapters, so if you want me to write more then please review~!

Chapter 1: Why are you so annoying?

The blending sounds of chirping crickets and the lively city in front of me is all that I can hear. I like to just stand here occasionally under the moon, and imagine that the city was dying in my presence. Taking all of it's oblivious citizens with it. I can feel a small smile ghost itself across my lips, as I chuckle at the demonic thoughts that are circling in my head.

"Nezumi!", a familiar and childish voice calls out to me, spoiling my relaxing thoughts. "What is it?" I turn my hear to look at the white-haired boy, who appears to be slightly hurt for some unknown reason. Maybe my voice sounded a bit too irritated? Oh well, it's his fault anyway.

"I didn't know where you went… So I came to look for you" his eyes were directed at his feet even though his words were aimed at me. He also sounds far more apologetic that necessary. "Whatever, let's go then" I sometimes feel a little sorry for the boy. He clearly has absolutely no idea how adorable he is.

Wait…. What? I'm just going to forget that I ever thought that.

"What did you come all the way out here for anyway?" Shion asks curiously as he follows my footsteps. "You ask too many questions" I don't want to sound rude, but how can I possible tell him that I was dreaming about his home bursting into chaos? "It's because you never tell me anything" Shion states seriously, I can tell that he is obviously not amused by my way of dodging his questions. But maybe if I knew he wouldn't be offended then I would consider telling him. "And that's because you don't need to know!" I bark back.

Why does he have to be so damn nosy and annoying? It's driving me insane!

After ten minutes of walking in silence Shion opens his mouth to speak. "Nezumi…" He drags out my name as if he were a zombie politely asking for my brain. Ah, he always goes to bed before me so he is probably just tired. "What is it now?" maybe that sounded a little harsh… "Sorry…. But I'm very tired" hah! I guess I must be a mind reader now. "Would it be okay if we stopped a while?" Shions eyes are hooded, and his posture has become lazy and slouched. I take a quick look at the white-haired boy and let out a loud sigh, "hmmmm" and an idea makes its way into my head. I walk towards him, watching as his eyes follow my movements sleepily. Then I put my arms around his smaller frame and lift him up into a hold, that is much akin to prince carrying a princess.

"Nezumi, sorry about this… I should have just stayed at home and waited for yo-"
"Shhhh" I would place a finger against his lips if they weren't occupied right now. But I think my hush got through to him, because the boy in my arms has closed his tired eyes. Now I have to carry him home, how fun! (that was sarcasm by the way).

Another sigh escapes my lips, and I continue to head home. Good thing my eyes are well adjusted to the dark, or this would be a much harder task than it already is.
