-Prologue-

The year is 2272 of the Old Era. It has been 102 years since the complete and utter destruction of all NEXT, due to the powerful Lynx known as, the Dark Lynx.

The Dark Lynx was an experimental subject created by a top secret organization referred to as, D.N.A. 7. The Dark Lynx was code named 'Ori-Infinity' by D.N.A. 7 and the pilots' original name has been forgotten. The origin of D.N.A. 7 and the reason behind the creation of Ori-Infinity is currently unknown.

The first appearance of the Dark Lynx was during the rise of The League of Ruling Companies. The Dark Lynx worked alongside an operator, formally known as Serene Haze, while being monitored the whole time by D.N.A. 7 from the shadows. Ori-Infinity gained quite the repetition as it's piloting skills grew, ultimately resulting in The Dark Lynx became one of the most powerful killing machines the world had ever seen, destroying all the other NEXT, shooting down all the cradles, and killing over 100 million people, including Serene.

D.N.A. 7 lost control of Ori-Infinity, which lead to the destruction of D.N.A. 7. Right after completely wiping out D.N.A. 7, the Dark Lynx began a path of total annihilation, moving from one Continent to the next, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The relentless Dark Lynx terrorized the world for 2 years before simply disappearing into thin air. The location of the Dark Lynx is currently unknown. The few humans remaining prepared themselves for the return of the Dark Lynx.

The battle scarred planet was left with mass amounts of kojimi particulars spread far and wide. Some years passed and the Dark Lynx was no more, or atleast, that's what everyone wanted to believe. The remaining humans on earth banded together to clean of the kojimi waste and fix all that was destroyed, removing the need for NEXT and their pilots. Slowly, everyone became closer through this major ordeal and the world finally saw peace, everyone wiping the era of the Dark Lynx from their minds...

The world lived in peace for the next 60 years before the rediscovery of what was once forgotten technology. This technology was known as, 'Armored Core' or AC, for short. Mankind spent the next few years developing this technology without the use of kojimi particulars under the sharp eye of the new world leader named 'Father.' And soon after, war broke out. A resistance group known as, 'The Resistance', challenged the power Father and the Corporation, ending with the death of Father. The Corporation disappeared into the shadows after a major battle between the Resistance main pilot and Chief. During this battle, it was revealed that Chief was an A.I. and that the AC that Chief was piloting was a prototype NEXT, technology that was suppose to have been lost...

A few years have passed since the Rebellion War and three new powers have risen, causing yet another war to break out...
