The Good, The Bad and The Graduation
"Monroe, you gotta hurry up! We're gonna miss our own graduation." Beverly yelled from outside the bathroom door that was in her room. Monroe was over getting his outfit on while she were busy doing her make up. But, now was time for the graduation ceremony and he was still changing.
"I'm hurry! I'm hurry!" He yelled back. A second later a loud crashing sound and a little whine. She opened the door and on the floor was Monroe and multiple bottles of hair product lie next to him on the ground. She laughed and leaned down to help him up. "Monroe, getting this on isn't even that hard."
Beverly slipped the outfit over his head and smiled at him. "You're just making this difficult." He stared at her in the mirror and smiled and then she looked at his hair. "Honey, your hair looks like a disaster." She picked a comb up from the counter and combed it nicely and putting his hat on him. He was much taller than her so it was funny for him to see her try to fix his hair and do things for him. Finally, they were ready.
They ran out to her parents car and climbed inside. "You ready?" Her dad asked. She smiled at Monroe and grabbed his hand. "Yeah, we're ready." Although it seemed she liked him, she stopped having feelings a few weeks into their friendship considering he was too cute to date. She took him more as a brother because they were only 12 when they met. Holding hands, kissing on the cheek, this was her way of showing she cared too much about him. He knew this and never took any hints from it; which she knew was good.
They showed up 5 minutes before the ceremony started and sat in their name order. The ceremony finished quicker than Beverly thought so this meant she was no longer a high schooler. She was very happy about this and so were her parents.
After everything, Monroe came to her house to stay the night. They laid outside and stared at the sky. "We're gonna stay friends, right?" She asked, looking over at him. "Of course, Bev."
"Good."
