Will stood near the airport gate. Leo had left Grace and Will
alone and had already boarded the plane.
"So you're really gonna do this, huh?"
Grace hesitantly smiled. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm definitely going to do this. Leo
is my husband, I've got to go with him."
Will pouted but tried not to show it. "Your call. I'm going to miss my best
friend though."
"It's only for eight months, Will," Grace reminded him.
Will nodded. "I know,"
"If it's any consolation, I'm going to miss you more." She said quietly.
"Now lets get this done with before I start to cry."
Will smiled, and kissed Grace on the lips. "Bye sweetie," he said. "Call
and write lots."
She smiled. "Love ya."
"You too."
Grace picked up her bags and started to walk down the corridor to the
airplane. She stopped, dropped her bags, and ran to give Will one last hug.
He hugged her back tightly, not wanting to let his best friend go.
"You're going to miss your plane." He said, smiling a bit.
"Just wanted to give you one last hug," Grace replied.
"Go," Will replied softly. "I'll see you in eight months."
She smiled and headed down the corridor again, this time not stopping or
looking back.
"Goodbye Gracie," Will said.
"Goodbye Gracie," Will said.
