There was a guy asleep on the couch.

Julia blinked several times, to make sure he was real. She hadn't had a glass of alcohol the night before so obviously she was not forgetting some random one night stand guy. The stranger moved, turning his head toward Julia. He was really hot… for some creep sleeping on her couch of course.

She cleared her throat loudly and the guy opened his eyes. As he saw her, he rose quickly and looked around him confusingly.

"This is not Joe's place", he finally said.

"No, I'm afraid not", Julia answered. "Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my apartment?"

She wasn't frightened. The guy indeed looked like a bad ass, but he seemed so confused and embarrassed that Julia strongly doubted he was gonna jump on her and steal her credit cards.

He scratched the back of his head – looking like a damn puppy.

"I'm so sorry", he said. "I have the habit of crashing at my buddy Joe's whenever I stay in town late, but obviously I climbed the wrong balcony…" he looked by the window. "Jesus, that's not even the right street!"

He looked so panicked that Julia laughed.

"What's your name?" she asked.

"Barbie", he said.

"Barbie?" Julia raised an eyebrow.

"Dale Barbara, but everyone calls me Barbie"

"I'm Julia", she said and offered her hand. He shook it and kept it one more second after she had let go.

"I feel terrible about that", Barbie said. "Let me buy you a coffee."

Julia smiled.

"Don't be ridiculous. There's free coffee right here in the kitchen. I bet you'll want an aspirin with yours."

"That'd be great", Barbie said, smiling as well. "Thanks."

Julia led the way to the kitchen, where Barbie sat down immediately at the table, in head in his hand.

"Do you treat so nicely everyone who breaks into your house at 3am and sleeps on your couch?"

Julia laughed. That Barbie guy was definitely the cutest, yet handsomest guy she had ever met.

"No", she answered, giving him his coffee. "I guess you're special."

She turned her head quickly, but not before she saw him smile widely at his coffee.

"Is that a good thing?" he asked.

"Today it is", she answered, smirking.
