Meowth, Caught? A spin of yugihfan2002's idea, the meowth chronicles. Meowth isn't a caught pokemon as far as i know. He just followed Giovanni and Team rocket around. So what if Ash accidentally caught Meowth?
It was a normal day for the young meowth as he licked his fur clean from the last battle with that rotten pikachu. Or tried however. In about two seconds he realized that he wasn't with Jessie or James as he couldn't smell their distinct although not altogether unpleasant odor of his old master Giovanni. In another two seconds he realized he wasn't out in the real world either. There was the distinct lack of sky, or ground beneath him. All he could see was darkness.
"Oh god, no!" he screamed as it dawned on him where he was, for he had heard many a pokemon including those belonging to Jessie and James complaining about the dark, rather boring inside of the pokeball. But how had he been caught and by whom? The last thing he remembered was another battle with that Ketchum kid. Thinking hard, he remembered that just before being blasted off by pikachu he had taken a swipe at the kids pokebelt. Had a pokeball really fallen on his head? It must have! That meant, "The ketchum kid must have me."
(I'm not doing the meowth accent. I find it stupid and hard to understand.)
"Oh god, the ketchum kid has me." It finally dawned on him as he said that sentence aloud that he was now a caught pokemon. Not just any caught pokemon either but the loser kid with the pikachu that always seemed to be messing around in their plans. Did the boy even know he had caught him? Was he ever going to let him out? It was just as he was thinking this that he felt the pokeball open.
"Thank god for open sky!"
"meowth?"
He turned to see the ketchum kid standing in front of him looking rather confused.
"Hey kid, whats up?"
"I caught meowth?"
"Looks like it yeah."
"Now what?"
That was the question of the day as the two stared at each other. Meowth knew he was far from a battler, rather finding it more useful to be the team strategizer and translator, "I don't really know kid, this is new for me too."
"Then I guess we'll both be learning won't we?"
"Say where are the other two tw... I mean where are your friends?"
"You mean brock and misty?"
"Yeah aren't they always with you?"
"Yeah but after that battle Pikachu lost to Lieutenant Surge I realized that i was allowing them to help me too much and I suggested we part ways. They weren't very happy about it, but I feel I need the change you know?"
"wait Pikachu lost a battle?"
"To a raichu."
"Damn, I know how that feels. Well I guess we have some training to do don't we?"
"yeah I guess we do."

I made meowth more friendly because thats what i figure the pokeballs do anyhow. And as for brock and misty, i really do feel as though Ash would have been better off if he didn't rely on them as much.
