Sorry if this story is really short. I thought of it randomly and didn't want to forget the idea. It's also my first fan fiction.

The sun was starting to set at the western air temple. The gaang was finishing their meal, some sprawled on the stone watching the sunset. Suddenly Aang stood up. "I'm going for a walk." He announced. Anyone wanna come along?" He eyed Katara as he said this.

Toph snorted. "Twinkletoes, if you need a buddy in the dark, just say it."

Aang rolled his eyes and started toward the hills at the far end of the temple. After he was gone a few minutes, Zuko stood up. "Where are you headed?" Katara asked, sounding as if she regretted fixing his food without any "questionable" ingredients.

"Bathroom." he replied

"That's at the far end of the temple."

"Yes, it is,"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Sokka sighed. "Please, just let him go Katara!" Zuko hesitated, then walked quickly in the path that Aang took. Katara watched him until he rounded a corner. I don't like it one bit! she thought. Glancing around, she hurried after Zuko.

Katara moved through the shadows of the temple, keeping her sights on Zuko. Suddenly, she stumbled on an overgrowth of vines. Sensing the noise, Zuko turned his head. Katara backed up quickly to the edge of the temple. Too quickly. Her foot slipped on the crumbling rock, and for a fleeting moment she felt weightless. She cringed, wondering what death would be like. Suddenly, a hand caught hers and stopped her falling with a jolt. She looked up, wide-eyed, into Zuko's face.

Zuko savored the look. Usually the waterbender's eyes were narrowed towards him. But now with fear and surprise masking the anger, he observed the clear, deep blue color of her eyes. Becoming aware that she was dangling off the edge of a cliff, he pulled her up onto the ledge. She shook, but only for a moment, and sat to catch her breath. She surprised Zuko with the next question. "Why were you staring at me like that?" How could he explain it? Well, you've been so terrible to me ever since I came here that I never got a good look at your eyes! Like that was going to let him off easy. Instead, he mumbled, "I never really saw your eyes." Katara opened her mouth, as if to ask a question, then closed it. Slowly, she stood up to face Zuko. "Well… thanks for… uh…that." There was an uncomfortable silence. What should I do next? Katara wondered. I mean, I need to thank him properly. And apologize for everything. She decided that a kiss on the cheek would do. I've kissed Aang like that plenty of times, anyway. It doesn't mean anything, right? Zuko glanced back at the direction they came from. Katara figured this was the perfect opportunity. She came in quickly. Unfortunately, Zuko turned his head at that moment.

It only took a moment for Zuko to figure out what happened, and for Katara's fist to connect with his cheek. As he looked up from the ground, petrified, she screamed "PERVERT!" Her eyes no longer seemed pretty as they took on a look of pure hatred. "This…never…happened," she snarled, her face growing a deeper shade of red with every syllable. She stormed back to the dinner table. Zuko looked down at his pants and sighed.

He didn't have to go to the bathroom anymore.
