Arizona walked into the living room to see her girlfriend sitting on the couch, watching Serendipity. In her lap, was a large bowl of candy hearts, the ones with the sayings stamped on them. The blonde laughed.
"I never thought of you as a hopeless romantic, Calliope," Arizona said, stressing hopeless. She walked over and sat next to her girlfriend.
"I am not a hopeless romantic," Callie argued, "I am just a romantic."
Arizona laughed again and looked down at the bowl, "How can you eat those? They taste like powdered sugar."
"I don't really like eating them, I like reading them," Calliope answered, picking up one, "See, I love you."
Callie displayed the heart and its saying before popping it in her mouth, "Your turn."
Arizona reached into the bowl, grabbed a heart, and read it, "Kiss me."
As instructed by the candy, Calliope leaned over and kissed Arizona, drawing a smile to the blonde's lips. Cal reached into the bowl and pulled out another heart, "Hug me," she read. Arizona leaned over and hugged her tight, making Callie chuckle.
"Can't… breathe," Calliope joked, causing Arizona to let her go. The blonde reached into the bowl and grabbed another heart.
"Nice smile," she read.
"Well, thank you," Calliope said, flashing a cheesy smile. Arizona rolled her eyes.
It was Callie's turn to read a heart. However, instead of reaching into the bowl for the candy, she reached into her pocket.
"Marry me," Cal said with a serious tone. She held her hand out to Arizona, revealing the white candy with the pink words that Calliope just said. Arizona looked down at the candy and then back at Callie. The blonde's eye brows furrowed from confusion.
Callie moved the bowl to the table and got down on one knee. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a small, velvet box.
"Marry me," Callie repeated as she opened the box, revealing the diamond ring inside.
Arizona was stunned; she stared at the ring then at Callie. She simply nodded, reaching for Calliope.
Callie smiled hugely, and stood up. She grabbed Arizona and held her in a tight embrace. Arizona pulled away and placed her hands on either side of Callie's face, kissing her deeply.
Callie ended the kiss and reached for box. She pulled the ring out and slipped it on Arizona's slim finger.
Arizona engulfed Callie in another hug, holding her close.
"Told you I was just a romantic," Callie whispered in Arizona's ear. Arizona laughed as she pulled away to kiss Calliope again.
