Chapter 1- He's Back
Sonic walked along the streets of Station Square. With Eggman finally defeated, there was nothing else better to do. "Sonic!," some one shouted. Sonic turned around to see his little brother Tails.
"Hey, Tails what's up?" Tails stopped in front of Sonic, huffing and puffing clearly out of breath. "You've… got to come… see this… it's Shadow!," he said in between pants.
Sonic eyes widened, "But I thought Shadow was dead when he chaos controlled away with the Ark?" Sonic asked in disbelief. Tails finally caught his breath and began to speak clearly, "Everyone and I thought that too, but he's back!" "Where is he now?" "At Chris' house!" The fast hero dashed off in the direction of the Thorndyke's mansion. Tails followed while flying through the air with his two twin tails.
Within a couple of minutes they reached the mansion and entered through the garage door. They walked into the living room and heads turned toward Sonic and Tails. But one face stood out from the rest. The dark ebony hedgehog, Shadow.
"Nice of you to join us, Sonic," Chris's grandfather said sarcastically. The blue hedgehog gave a sheepish smile. He'd been out all day without seeing anyone all day, except Tails. "Sorry, I was kinda expecting nothing today." He said, hinting the arrival of Shadow.
An awkward silence swept over everyone. Luckily Ella broke through the door with food and refreshments. "I know you must be hungry, Shadow." Shadow blushed. No one noticed except Sonic.
Now everyone was happily eating and chatting away. Sonic on other hand, was outside looking up to the moon. "Hello, faker" Sonic turned around to see his attention to his dark rival. "Oh, hey Shads," Sonic said in amusment.
Shadow slowly advanced toward the colblat hedgehog. ' God he's so graceful, and sexy… wait… WTF! Did I just think about how sexy he is?' While Sonic thought of this, Shadow was trying to was trying to get his attention. Without any warning Shadow raised his hand and… SMACK! This got Sonic out of his trance. "OW! WHY DID YOU DO THAT? Sonic put his hand to the mark.
