Soon they saw footprints in the sand that went around all the pyramids. They then decided to split up and search for Abby and Ziva. McGee was the first to find anything. As he was walking he heard a muffled scream. He waited a few seconds then heard another. He ran towards the direction the noise had come from. Then slowly he looked around him and saw to his amazement a small but visible passageway leading into one of the pyramids. He slowly moved near it. Then he entered. He came upon a chamber that was dark except for a small torch burning in the center of the room and by it stood a man. The man was talking to someone.
"You will not live much longer. I will dispose of you all very soon, very soon indeed!"
McGee then heard a familiar voice.
"You won't do anything to any of us or my friends will come here and put you in your right place."
"That was ziva's voice" he whispered to himself. "But then where is Abby? She must be nearby."
The man then took a look around and he had to flatten himself against the wall, then he left.
McGee then pulled out his phone and called Gibbs.
"Hey boss, I think I found Abby and Ziva."
He paused for a second.
"Yeah I'm in the pyramid furthest from our campsite"
He paused again
"Ok, see you shortly"
Then he put the phone away and walked into the chamber. He looked around and saw Abby and Ziva both tied to a pole.
"Abby, it's me, McGee. I'm going to help you."
Then he moved across the room to them and cut their bonds. And removed the gags stuck in their mouths. Abby rushed forward and hugged McGee.
"I knew you'd come. How did you know where to look?"
"I didn't" said McGee.
"So where are the others?" asked Ziva "don't tell me you came here on your own!"
"Yeah, I did. The others will be here shortly. In the meantime help me release these other people." He said.
"Hello? Is that you McGee? Do you have Abby and Ziva?"Called a voice that sounded like Gibbs.
"Gibbs." He whispered. Then he said in a louder voice "yes I have them both and they are safe but there are about ten other people in here."
Then he heard footsteps drawing closer. And he saw Jenny, Gibbs, and Tony.
"Good work, now let's get these others out of here."Said Gibbs
They immediately set to work loosening the rope from the other people's hands and legs. Suddenly they heard footsteps.
"HEY! Where do you think you're going? "
More footsteps.
They turned to see a man in his late teens and five other armed men.
"So, you thought you would be able to escape me huh?"
Then he took out an M16 and shot one of the people
"All of you get up against the wall, and don't try anything"
"Excuse me, but you can't tell us what to do!"Said McGee.
"Ok, then these beautiful young ladies will be next" the man said.
"Hurt them at all and I'll shoot you buddy." Said Tony as he pulled out a Pistol.
As he did this the others followed him. Now the six men were facing six others with their weapons.
"Put your weapons down, by your feet." commanded Gibbs.
Suddenly one of them shot at the team. The bullet hit Tony in the rotator cuff and he fell to the ground.
Then Gibbs, Jenny, Ziva and Abby shot the five other men and they fell to the ground.
"Now put down your weapon." Gibbs told the man. And he did.
"Now, put your hands over your head. And Ziva, get DiNozzo out of here. And you" he said speaking to the man again, step away from your weapon."
The man obeyed. And Gibbs put him in handcuffs.
"Now you're not going to give me any problems! Got it?" Gibbs said.
The man nodded his head. And they walked into Cairo.
