Jade Harley was walking to the Pacific Island Park on a nice day. Suddenly, she heard a familiar voice behind her, a voice she thought she'd never hear again. "Hey, Jade, baby, fancy meeting you here." Jade turned and saw her ex-boyfriend Davesprite. "Davesprite, what the hell are you doing here,you orange feathery douche? Haven't you hurt me enough?" Jade said. Davesprite chuckled. "Is their really a need for those kinda words? You know you want me back." He said. "No, I don't. I hate you!" Jade yelled. "Ouch, that hurt, Jade. Well, if you won't be my girl, then I'll let my friend here do what he wants." Davesprite said, vanishing. Out of the shadows, a mummy walked stiffly over to Jade. She screamed, since she absolutely hated mummies!
"Not as long as I am the Page of Breath! Round 1! Fight!" A blue-cloaked boy said, jumping off of a high ledge and in front of Jade. From what Jade could see, the boy was about a few inches taller than her. His voice seemed familiar, but Jade couldn't place it. The boy leapt at the mummy and started to pummel it with his fists. After about 25 seconds, the mummy was nothing but dust and bandages. "Flawless Victory." The boy said. "Whoa, dude. That was awesome. Thanks." Jade said. The boy turned. He was a teen with short, blond hair, emerald green eyes, and a nice smile. Aside from his blue cloak, he wore a green t-shirt and black shorts. He was barefoot, a trait Jade could associate with only one person. She gasped as she recognized her elementary school playmate. "Noah MacEmerald? Is that you?" She asked. The boy lowered his hood. "Aye, Jade." He said, smiling. Jade ran up and hugged her old friend. "I haven't seen you in forever! I've missed you!" she said. "Same here, Jade." Noah said. "Why don't you walk through the park with me.
? It's a warm day and I don't want you running off again without hanging out like we used to." Jade said. Noah nodded. "I'd be honored." He said.
The two friends walked through the park, admiring the trees, the bird song, and the warm sun. After a while, the two sat on a bench to catch their breath. "Jade, you have no idea what sharing the title Page of Breath with Tavros Nitram does to a guy. He's always trying to fight me for the title." Noah said, turning to his friend. Jade turned to Noah. Their eyes met. "Um..Noah, can I tell you a secret?" Jade asked. "Sure, Jade." Noah said. "Ever since I met you, I...had a big crush on you. I want you to be my boyfriend." Jade said. "Jade, I...feel the same way. I'd be honored to be your boyfriend." Noah said, inching closer. The two kissed, all other things forgotten.
