Hey so I haven't published in a while but I found this on my computer and felt the need to post it.
NOTE: This takes place during I Am a Unicorn. I wrote it before the episode aired when I saw the picture of Brittany on Kurt's bed with all the campaign stuff. Remember Santana was just kicked out of New Directions, Brittany is still in ND and she is not yet running for president.
Diclaimer: I do not own Glee or any of its character blah blah blah blah...
Brittany sat on Kurt's bed surrounded by decorations and materials that would be used for the boy's campaign. Included in the batch of things were Pride flags and a unicorn horn the rested on the Cheerleader's head.
"Ugh I need a platform"
Brittany answered in a way only she could "Why, didn't those shoes go out of style in like hippie years?"
Used to Brittany's sense of thought Kurt ignored the comment. He continued to think of ideas for his speech in order for students to vote for him. "I got it! I'll talk about instituting a Marc Jacobs Fall collection uniform!"
The cheerleader sat on the bed not really listening to Kurt, who was now going off on a tangent of possible campaign ideas. He started to explain how he needed to win this campaign in order to get into NYADA. As the thought of college came up Kurt began curiously asking Brittany what her post-graduation plans were.
Thinking for a second Brittany replied "Hopefully I get into somewhere that has a good dancing program, and that is close to my girlfriend's school."
Kurt stared at the dancer with a look of shock "You have a girlfriend?" He always knew Brittany was loving of everyone, and had quite the reputation of sleeping around with both sexes, but girlfriend?
Brittany smiled at the question "Yeah, but Santana said that I couldn't tell anyone"
If Kurt wasn't surprised before he was now!
Kurt approached Santana the next day
"Hey"
Surprised and slightly annoyed by the greeting the Latina answered back in her fieriest of ways "I have taken a vow to ignore everyone from that club. So please Porcelain, don't talk to me"
The cheerleader was ready to turn away before Kurt continued "But, you talk to Brittany."
Rolling her eyes she gave him the obvious answer, "Well Brittany is my best friend and a Cheerio she doesn't count Lady."
Kurt ignored the jeer and added to Santana's sentence as she was walking away "…and because she is your girlfriend."
It was a statement, not a question because Kurt knew the real answer, no matter how much he is sure Santana is about to deny it.
"What are you talking about? Brittany is NOT my girlfriend!"
Kurt stared at the cheerleader and continued "You know after Brit accidently slipped up in telling me you two were dating, I thought it made sense. I mean Landslide and you dating Kurorsky."
Santana approaches Kurt and makes sure the two's conversation cannot be heard by anyone else "Listen I don't want anyone to know yet. Do you remember? How this school treated you, before Blaine, before you transferred." Kurt was listening, he remembered and it showed on his face.
"I can't deal with that, they won't ease up because I'm a girl. They'll only be worse since I've been a bitch my entire time at this school"
As Santana explained the situation to him, Kurt knew exactly what his platform would be during his candidacy speech.
Bright lights were on Kurt as he stared confidently into the crowd of students during his speech. "And lastly, I will make every LGBT student in this school feel safe." He said this entire last part while looking at Santana the whole time.
"Vote for Me!"
