Author's Note: Hey Guys! Today marks my first anniversary of joining this site. It's been a very fandom packed year, so I decided to go back to where it all started and post some more World Ends With You poetry. My first poem was on a wing but kick started my fanfiction life. I thought to do one long note explaining the poems rather than after each poem. So the first one is written as Neku, reflecting upon his relationship with Joshua.
The second and third are as Joshua. The meanings behind them are pretty clear. The second is written as a Sonnet. We were studying them in school so I thought I'd give it a try. Ok I'm done.

Sunset to me
Bright and bold and fading

The street's silent ruckus to me
The reaper's black wings to me
The footstep's pulse/the clock's hangover
Continuous yet absent
We are the same, you said
