Refresher for Matt Houston.
The amazing people who run VERY nicely added a Matt Houston section at my request.
So, since it's been off the air since 1985 (aside from reruns on TNN in the 90's) I thought I'd post a quickie refresher.
Matt Houston was a PI from Houston who ran his agency in LA. CJ Parsons was his best friend, lawyer and eventually partner. In the first year, we had Vince Novelli as the cop on the LAPD and Mama Novelli, Vince's mother, who ran an Italian restaurant they all frequented. In the second season Novelli was replaced by Lt. Hoyt and the third season saw Uncle Roy join the cast.
Over that time, and things needed to know for future stories, Houston, as typical for an 80's cop show, dated a lot of girls. The last ep of the series saw him walking down the aisle with a girl named Elizabeth (can't remember the last name if they even gave one), played by Kerrie Keane. After an attempt on her life by someone out for revenge against Houston on their wedding day, she left him without getting married. In that episode, CJ admitted to being a little jealous. And not to make it sound like CJ was some lovesick sidekick, she had had at least one marriage proposal during the 3rd season and a near one in the second season.
For my stories, the characters are still the same as they were when we last saw them in '85 but now they have the modern technology hehe. Hoyt may make an appearance but I will most often stick with Novelli. Unless, of course, there are some post-eps.
