AN: I'm back! It's been so long since I posted something, and this is for a friend of mine. She gave me the prompt of "Steve" so I gave her this. I hopefully (don't bet on it) will update some of my other stories. Enjoy a bit of Steve-love (This is for you, Stats buddy).

Disclaimer: I don't own the Avengers...but I would really really really like to.

Every morning when Steve got up, after he would run a few miles in the tower's gym, he would go to the kitchen to eat breakfast. Before any part of his meal would be prepared the captain would put on a kettle and start making coffee, because Bruce would be up soon to drink his tea, and Pepper and Tony practically drowned themselves in coffee.

If there weren't any eggs in the fridge Steve would go stock up on them at the store, automatically buying about a dozen boxes of pop tarts as well, because Clint would only eat scrambled eggs for breakfast and Thor thought pop tarts were magical.

Natasha liked fruit smoothies in the morning, so Steve would set up the blender for her. Then and only then would Steve sit down and eat six bowls of Cheerios with a cup of orange juice.

It had become such a routine for him and the rest of the team that it was such a surprise when Bruce got up and didn't have his water ready for him, and each member of the rest of the team also walked in to find an empty silent kitchen.

On the previous day, during a battle with some escaped super villains, Captain America took a nasty hit to his head protecting Clint from an energy blast. He had a pretty bad concussion and had been instructed to take it easy for the next few days.

The team leader had all but passed out in his bed when he laid down in it. Jarvis had been instructed to wake the captain up at regular intervals to check his cognitive levels.

Apparently, with the exhaustion and concussion, Steve had slept past 5:30 am when he usually gets up. Every single team member went and checked on him, smiling slightly when they peeked into his room and heard the soft sound of his snores from the pile of covers. Of course, by the next day Steve was back up at 5:30 am, thanks to the super soldier serum. However, today he noticed something different when he went to the kitchen after his run. A bowl with Cheerios in it was already out with a spoon next to it.

A cup was sitting out for his orange juice, and his favorite kind of milk was fully stocked in the fridge. He didn't change his routine of preparing things for his friend's mornings, but he gladly welcomed the surprise of seeing his ready everyday.

He could tell which member of the team did it each day, because Thor would leave a pop tart for him by the bowl of Cheerios, Clint would place scrambled eggs on a plate for him, Natasha would put smoothie in his glass, orange flavored of course, Tony would place a Captain America spoon for him to use, and Bruce would have a cup of steaming tea waiting for him.

It made something inside Steve grin, and so, everyday an Avenger would rise to set out the food for Steve's breakfast, and everyday he would prepare the rest of his team's. It was the smallest of gestures that pulled the teammates into a family.
