Was it a dream?

Addison smiled and opened her eyes. Then she got the feeling that it was all a dream and her smile dropped. Why would it have happened? Why would such a great man like Derek Shepherd have married her? She came from a family that hardly acknowledged her, her dad always out of the house working and her mum, well her mum always pushing her into things. Addison spent her childhood being the band geek with a lisp and braces. Always sat at the front of the class on her own. She'd eat her lunch sat all alone while all the other kids ate together. They'd all turn and snigger at her, she always hated being that kid. She'd spent most of her childhood alone and her best friend had been a stuffed bear that she still held onto. She was a late bloomer and had always been picked on by the other girls because she didn't have boobs like the rest of them and the fact that she had never had a boyfriend or never had her first kiss. They always found something to make fun of about her. Because of her red hair she stood out from the rest of them and could never hide. After a while the boys started tormenting her as well and she even thought about ending her life at times, thinking that no one would notice her absence. Then the summer between high school and college, everything changed, she suddenly change, she bloomed like none of the other girls, she was no longer the band geek with a lisp and braces, suddenly she had become an elegant tall young lady with gorgeous red hair and the perfect sized boobs. She would look in the mirror and she hardly recognised herself. Even though Addison had changed physically, she was still had low self-esteem and would choose to wear clothes that covered all of her body rather than reveal some leg or cleavage. As soon as she stepped into college all the boys fell at her feet and the girls all tried to be her friend. Addison took no notice of most of them apart from three of them. Savannah and Naomi who became her two best friends, and Derek Shepherd who became her long term boyfriend.

Addison sighed when she thought that she had just dreamt marring Derek, then she felt and arm tighten around her naked waist and pull her closer to their body. The sun reflected off a ring on her finger and when she looked a huge smiled spread across her face.

"Good morning Mrs Shepherd." Derek nuzzled her neck and softly kissed it. She turned around in his arms and kissed him on the lips.

"Good morning Mr Shepherd."

"How are we enjoying married life then?" He smiled at her suggestively.

"I'm loving it." Then all of the day and night before came flooding back to her. "Especially if it's anything like it was yesterday and most of the night." She moved towards him and kissed him once again on the lips. This time his tongue pushed it's way into her mouth and battled against her tongue. He ran a hand up and down her side then came to massage her thigh, while she hand roamed over his muscled torso. Derek pulled back and lent his forehead against Addison's and looked into her eyes.

"I'm the luckiest man alive having you as my wife. I don't know what made you choose me but I am so happy you did. Are you ready to start the rest of your life with me?"

"I think I am." And this time she just snuggled up in his arms where he pulled her in close.
