Prologue: Rukia

A pair of ghostly hooves crunched the gravel at the base of a long jagged mountain. The mane was a dark grey, dark flaming tips rippled in the air as the black horse tossed its head. Its hooves, as hard as diamonds, threw sparks as it pawed the ground. The hooves were split and framed by moving black flames. The rider was dressed in dark cloths. Wearing a dark green vest, dark blue Capri's, black toeless boot like sandals, black gloves, two dark brown studded belts, and a studded choker. Her dark blue hair was pulled back into a bun and three white feathers were artfully placed into one side.

Behind her was a bundle of white robes and several packs. She turned toward the mountain and the lightning illuminated a pair of golden eyes. Her fine features gave her a look like a soft flower, but the hard gold eyes betrayed her physical weakness. She turned her horse and pushed the fire demon into a hard run up the lower part of the mountain. Wind whipped her bangs back, and she drew a small blue and silver fan into one hand. "Wind Backlash," she yelled, her voice carrying over the wind and suddenly a blast resonated off the fan and silenced the gusts around her.

'Mount Jabrial,' the map had said, this was to be her first destination on this new land was. She was going there to revive the last stone sage within this part of the world. She saw a flash ahead of her and summoned her bow into her hand. The purple smoke like bow appeared, and then a silver arrow notched itself on a fine silver string. She turned her Elvin ears toward the commotion now running toward her, and fired the silver arrow just as a black shape flew at her. The arrow hit it and exploded into silver light, shredding the demon and illuminating the trail of the mountain, where hail was already on its way down. As the bow vanished, she reached down and drew a small short sword. Blue light flooded out of its hilt, and suddenly a small sword was formed, emitting blue sparks that fell to the ground as shards of ice. "Bring it," she shouted to the dark sky as shadowy demons appeared from the white rocks above her, snarling and spitting fire and ash.
