This is my first fanfic and I only put it up here because a friend told me I had to. I'm not really sure why I wrote it but the idea came from a preview I saw for a CSI Miami episode.

Disclaimer: I don't own anything from CSI Miami, if I did I'd be rich and I won't be writing this fanfic in the first place.

"Eric listen to me, you don't want to do this."

I take a few steps slowly backwards my hands in the air on either side of my head; he continues to walk towards me his gun pointed at my head. I stop moving, I know I can't just keep backing away, the dock is only so wide.

"Please, think about what you're doing."

My plea doesn't cause him to stop as I hoped it would, if anything, he's moving towards me faster now.

"Listen Eric, you have to hear me out, I didn't have a choice…"

I let my voice trail off. There's a fiery hatred in his eyes I haven't seen since he looked at Riaz back when we were in Rio. I mean, I knew he was angry, I knew I'd said some stupid things to that fed but at the time it had seemed like the right thing to do. I never thought that fed would turn around and do what he did. I never thought it would infuriate Eric to the point where he would hold me, his own boss, his own brother-in-law, his own friend, at gun point. I wonder if he's all there, this is so unlike the Eric Delko I know. I can remember all the times over the past few weeks that he came to me and told me about the hallucinations, the double vision, the dizziness, the pain. I knew something was wrong but I should have dealt with it differently. I shouldn't have been so distant; I should have really taken matters into my own hands instead of trusting someone else.

I didn't realize that I'd zoned out until I felt the barrel of the gun against the back of my head and heard Eric's heavy breathing next to me.

"H, why?"

I bow my head at his question.

"I am truly sorry Eric."

I know apologizing won't do much but it's the best I can do right now. It doesn't seem to work however because he jabs me hard with the gun barrel. He jabs me again. I look up as he jabs my head for a third time and suddenly understand why. His hand is shaking and twitching. With every twitch the gun hit my head. I move my head out of the way of the gun and he makes no effort to keep the gun against my head. I know now that something is very wrong. I look up at his face; the anger in his eyes is gone, replaced by fear and confusion. The gun drops from his hand and he stumbles. I grab his arm and hold him steady.

"Eric?"

He doesn't seem to hear me. His eyes are darting everywhere he looks terrified.

"Eric?"

I say his name louder this time and his eyes travel shakily to my face.

"Horatio, I, I don't get it. What am I doing?"

His voice sounds so broken and I feel a surge of fear inside me. Eric needs help and I know I was too distant before but this time I'll be there for him. I put one of his arms around my shoulders and let him lean his weight on to me as I pull out my phone with my free hand.

"It's alright Eric, help's coming. I'm calling them now."

I try to reassure him despite my own fear for his life, as I dial 911.

There you go, attempt at a fanfic. Please review but go easy on me if you don't mind.
