"Bella..."
I woke up to the sound of a voice calling my name.
"Bella..." The voice said again.
"mm... go 'way" I muttered and I snuggled further under the covers.
The voice chuckled and i felt pecks of kisses on my cheek.
"Bella love, wake up sleepy head." The voice whispered in my ear.
"mmmh?" and my eyes fluttered open.
I looked up to see the emerald green eyes of my husband. Grinning.
"Edward.." i sighed softly.
He smiled and sat down on our bed, a breakfast tray in his hands.
"Morning love"
"Morning"
I smiled sleepily. I managed to sit up and Edward propped up my pillows so I could lie back on them.
"I'm such a whale" I huffed.
Edward chuckled and I glared at him.
"Sorry Love" he smiled and he placed the tray in my lap. There was a plate of toast and orange juice.
"and you are not a whale" he said sitting down next to me. He was dressed in his blue scrubs.
"I am" already stuffing myself with the toast, I was starving. I was eating for two.
"Nope... you are my beautiful... sexy (he kissed my neck) wife, pregnant with my child." He placed his hand on my bump that was clearly visible under the bed covers.
As if the baby knew it's father was there, it kicked hard and I could tell Edward felt it.
"That's my boy" Edward laughed and caressed my bump softly.
"You sure about that?" I smirked. We had decided not to know the sex, but Edward insisted that the baby was a boy. We had picked two names, Edward James and Grace Rose. But Edward had called the baby EJ ever since I had my 24 weeks scan.
As me and Edward were Doctors, we had a lot of experience in pregnancy as I was a Midwife and Edward a obstetrician. But now I was the one that was pregnant, I was the one that needed check-ups and advice. Edward had been there every step of the way, being my doctor at hospital and husband at home. We had been married for a little over 6 years. We had met at University, when both of us were studying medicine. We were together for 3 years when we married after we graduated. Edward and I had been accepted at the same hospital, just over 40 minutes away from where we lived. When I turned 28 years old in September 2010 last year, we had decided It was time to add a addition to the family. Now 1 year later I was 8 ½ months pregnant.
I was brought back when I felt a kiss on my check.
I turned to my husband smiling.
"I got to go now love"
He gave me another kiss and rubbed my bump.
"Bye little man"
I laughed and shook my head at him. He just shrugged his shoulders and smiled sheepishly.
He got to the door and blew me a kiss.
I watched him go. My husband, the love of my life, my best friend, my doctor and my baby's father. I smiled and lay back on the pillows and felt the baby kick. Life was great.
