Nuki's Note:

Okay first of all, yes this is incest, don't like then just please hit the back button and go find something else to read.

I haven't written fanfiction in a really long time, not since school has started. The quality is probably a little shaky, and this doesn't make much sense. But IkutoxUtau is a pairing that interests me and I wanted to try writing it. So this really is just a test to get me started. Hopefully Utau didn't seem too out of character.

Strength is a Weakness

Eyes fixed on her shoes she wished she could be anywhere but frozen up against a wall. She could feel the knot in her stomach tighten as her brother whispered taunting words of affection to the girl in his arms. Only by accident had she nearly turned the corner to find Ikuto and Amu. As much as she didn't want to hear them, as much as she longed to just dart away in the other direction, she could not move her lead body.

It wasn't fair. Why couldn't he hold her just once? He didn't have to whisper his feelings into her ear, or even bring his lips to her hair; she just wanted to be held. To experience the warmth of sinking into her brother's arms was a far away, fantasy dream for her. According to him, according to the world, they were siblings and any different relationship between them was gross.

Despite the fact odds were against her, Utau could not drop her feelings. She endured the heartache that burned in her chest every time she saw Amu melt at the boy's touch. To watch from afar and see the one she loved with someone else, yet still hope for some sort of miracle of a chance, was probably the most painful option Utau could have chosen.

She was forced out of her thoughts when the sickening noise of lips pressing together interrupted the momentary silence. Wiping her thumb across her eye to catch a tear before it slid down her cheek, Utau turned and tiptoed away from the perfect couple just around the corner. There were a lot of things Utau could put up with when it came to the relationship with Amu and Ikuto. But not that. She couldn't put up with that.
