A/N: Okay, just before we begin, I would like to point out something:
THIS STORY WILL CONTAIN MENTIONS/FLASHBACKS OF RAPE/ABUSE. IF THIS WILL BOTHER YOU, PLEASE, DO NOT READ. I DO NOT WANT TO BE FLAMED. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Also, my chapter updates will most likely be very irregular. I have to focus on school. That means doing a sheik-ton of homework every night and on weekends.
Now, onto the fanfiction...
By the time he found the girl, he was close to dying himself.
The holes in the side of his neck were gushing, and he could feel himself weakening. But it would have been wrong to just save himself.
The dead were scattered everywhere, but the girl was moving. Small whimpers - of pain maybe - could be heard from her face-down form.
Severus Snape dropped down to his knees and began calling for help.
It wasn't long before the two were found by Hermione Granger, but by then Snape had lost consciousness again and fallen on top of the girl. Hermione's shock at seeing her supposedly dead professor alive and - not so well, but breathing - froze her before she whipped into action.
"I need two stretchers," she snapped, "now!" Someone conjured up one and levitated Snape onto it. The same was done for the girl.
"Hurry up!" Hermione screamed.
The two stretchers were hurried to the Great Hall, where they were met with stares.
"Clear the way! Clear the way!" Hermione was yelling. People moved almost robotically, staring. At Snape, she supposed. He is meant to be dead, after all.
The stretchers were set down and two Healers rushed over to begin working, holding out their wands and chanting complex incantations.
Hermione watched for a while, then went to find more survivors.
Well there you were, the prologue! Hope you enjoyed it! Please review, because reviews are like cotton candy and I really like cotton candy. Mmmmm... should probably get some, even though it's about 9:30 at night. Also, most chapters will probably be longer than this.
