A/N: Came about through my daily musings, and I just felt that I had to write it down and share it with people. Very short.
Fine Line
It's so hard to hate someone you love; but it was incredibly easy for desire to become hatred.
Shinn was slowly discovering how easy it could be for him to hate the one he desired, but he couldn't help loving him. And… to him, hate seemed like the easy way out, and he'd done that so much before in his past, that he wanted to do something the hard way.
Kira Yamato.
He was so much more emotionally mature then him; off limits to him, in almost every manner. And all he wanted was to love him; be with him through everything, thick and thin. He would stand by Kira no matter what.
If he looked deep inside himself, Shinn knew he'd find some small part of him that disagreed with the rest of himself, but he squashed it; refused to acknowledge it.
Shinn knew, he couldn't go on living unless he was near Kira; even if Kira would never feel the same about him that he did about him. Love was a fickle thing indeed; able to turn an enemy into a love interest.
He would remain by his side. He would remain there till the end.
Even if he didn't get his happily ever after.

As stated before, it's short. I wasn't in the mood to write anything long and lengthy, so I wrote this instead. Just to note, I have a whole ton of one-shots and other such short stories to finish, so I don't update very often because I am working away on them; chipping away at the long list, as well as working on my other multi-chaps.
