Crowley heaved a sigh. He craved company, always had. What's a suave, sophisticated master of sarcasm, without someone to torment? He knew he lacked some of his former presence, projecting instead an increasing air of listless boredom, his craving growing. So much so, he even endured his barmy mother's presence, despite her never-ending undermining and manipulations. Crowley just didn't care. Regularly he pondered swapping Kingship for friendship. Pals who celebrated his successes, weren't secretly cheering his failures. Mates who gave a damn, instead of minions who were damned...As always, his thoughts incorporated the Winchesters. Would...Could...They be what Crowley longed for?...Buddies?
