Drinking
by Dancingkatz
I never realized how parched my life was until your laughter entered it, falling like gentle rain over the grumbles and snarls of care, trickling like a waterfall into my ear until at last clear of the dust of discontent I could hear the truth of words of love and caring. What shall I do now that love-giving stream has dried up with your last breath? Where shall I find the water of love to quench my thirst now that I can no longer drink from you, my darling? How do I survive this drought through the endless years ahead?
