This sonnet was created in response to an English assignment where I had to create a sonnet on two literary character couples. I decided to share this humorous poem with anyone who stumbled upon it.
Our Precious
(a sonnet by Gollum/Sméagol
Our Precious we loves more than fishes sweets
Gollum! Gleams bright like fishes scales and bone
Though fishes wins at being scrumptious eats
Evil Bagginses stole you as his own
Likes a fishes you oft-Gollum! Escape
Fishes and you takes us as clever fools
Slipped off our fingers with your growing shape
We found you both by water's many pools
But you my love can never be alive
A golden ring, you cannot be broken
Gollum! Your presence is what makes us thrive!
Our birthday present will be re-Tolkien
We wants it back! Gollum! For that we wish,
Until then, we'll catch us a scrumptiouss fish.
