I don't own Powerpuff girls. This is a first attempt after becoming smitten with Powerpuff fanfiction.
It wasn't like she really thought dancing was stupid. Buttercup kicked at a rock. Okay she thought dancing was one of the stupidest things on earth, but still… Did he have to dance with her? Hinted ButchBubbles one-sided ButtercupButch
Dancing is Stupid
Butch and Buttercup were two of a kind. They were both the cruelest people in their own separate groups, they loved the color green, and they were into pretty much any sport.
Well, there was one sport Butch preferred that was the bane of Buttercup's existence. Dancing.
She watched under her dark bangs as the spiky dark haired boy twirled her giggling twit of a sister around. Bubbly's blonde pigtails were floating around wildly.
Butch had an amused smirk gracing his face like he had no place else to be. Buttercup wanted to punch it off.
Dancing is stupid. She thought savagely. It wasn't like Butch asked Bubbles first. No, he asked Buttercup and what did she have to say? That dancing was for stupid princess girls. Then Bubbles started blubbering and to make her shut up he swept the blonde girl up easily to dance with her instead.
"They look so happy together."
"What a good looking couple."
Other teenagers had grouped together to talk about the couples on the dance floor. It angered Buttercup even more. Butch and her were two peas in a very green pod, so why was he so enraptured by her ditzy sister?
She watched them until Bubbles leaned up on her tiptoes to kiss Butch's cheek. Buttercup's burning anger and jealousy turned to something she didn't want to name. Something that entirely wasn't her…
Buttercup didn't have anyone to stop her from running out of the dance. She didn't have any handsome dark haired boy's chasing after her in the night to ask for forgiveness or to admit a burning desire for her. Why would they? She pushed anyone away that got too close. She got angry at anyone who was too nice. It was Bubbles who the guys ran after. It was Blossom the boys worshipped.
Buttercup's flight took her far, far away from the green and blue eyes that had been eyeing each other all night. She felt the loss of losing the one guy she liked, but what could she really do?
She could never hurt Bubbles the way her oh so innocent sister just hurt her.
Buttercup would move on because she was strong. And like always no one would know her weaknesses and emotions because as always she only let them out when she was all alone. For all they knew she only got angry and destroyed things when she was upset.
She'd like to keep it this way.
