So, the line breaks got messed up when I uploaded it. But basically, Katara's POV is supposed to be the first 2 paragraphs, and Zuko's POV is the 2nd 2. Enjoy!
Katara felt the moon rise. She lay awake, feeling the energy it gave her. After a few moments, she heard the various sounds of her friends falling asleep: deep breathing, muttering, and in Sokka's case, loud snoring. She smiled softly and zoned in on the sound of one person's breathing. The newest addition to the gaang. She rolled onto her side and watched him. The moon's light shone on his skin, making it whiter than it already was and throwing his scar into sharp relief. She knew he thought the scar was frightening and ugly, but she couldn't imagine him without it.
He seems so relaxed, she thought as she watched. In all her memories of him, he was angry. But in his sleep, his forehead was smooth, except for the occasional dream twitch. Sweet dreams, my Prince, she said silently. During the day, she would go back to hiding her feelings, so she was content with watching him through the night. She knew she would be tired in the morning, but there were certain advantages to rising with the moon.
Zuko felt the sun rise, and his eyes opened slowly. Stretching, he looked around the campsite. It seemed the rest of his newfound friends were still asleep, so he let his gaze fall on one person. The light of the sunrise kissed her dark skin, making it glow. He almost wished for her eyes to open, so he could see the new light caught in their depths, but for now, he was glad she was asleep. As soon as she woke, she would begin to worry about the war and about the Avatar, and he hated to see her worry.
The Avatar. It was painfully obvious how the young airbender felt about Katara. And Zuko could only assume that she felt the same. She'll never feel that way about me, he told himself. He had to stay content with admiring her as she slept. He was tired from waking so early, but there were certain advantages to rising with the sun.
