A New Life for Joey?
NOTE: I am new to the Fanfiction community.
Joey always seems to be happy on the outside. He was always telling jokes using "Mr. Woodchuck" and entertaining the Tanner family. However, he is always battling something internally. He sees the beautiful life that Jesse and Rebecca have, the life that Danny has with Vicki, but always wonders when his time will come. After hearing the news that Rebecca and Jesse are pregnant again with their third child, he sat Jesse down explaining his feelings. "Ya know Jess, it always seems like I have to experience everyone's happiness, but I wonder when my happiness will come?" Jesse, confused said, "What do you mean Joey? I have always thought that you were content with your life?" Joey, who was pacing around the studio replied, "I am, but I want someone in my life that I can wake up to every day. Someone that isn't Mr. Woodchuck. I feel like I am constantly on edge lately and I think I am realizing how I see love all around me, but I want to actually experience it. A love that will stay."
The conversation that happened between Joey and Jesse did not just end there. Jesse did not stop thinking about it for the rest of the night. He never knew that Joey was unhappy. He could see where Joey's feelings were coming from, but did not know how he could actually help fix the problem.
The thoughts did not leave Joey either. Joey had seen everyone around him experience love. Yes, he had relationships at certain periods of time, but wondered when the relationship would last. He decided to leave his thoughts behind him for the day. That was until Michelle walked in with her new boyfriend. "JOEY! COME DOWNSTAIRS. I want you to meet someone." Joey comes running down the stairs into the kitchen to meet what he thought was going to be one of Michelle's girlfriends from school. "Joey, I would like you to meet Ben." Michelle did not have to say anything more. Joey knew that it was her new boyfriend. Of course Joey, said, "Ben, nice to meet you." The conversation ended there though and Joey went to the studio and turned the red light on. Joey was not working on anything in the studio.
Michelle's confused expression made her call, "UNCLE JESSE, COME DOWNSTAIRS." Jesse flew down the staircase that led into the kitchen. "Michelle, I was in the middle of putting gel in my hair, what is it?" Michelle quickly laughed, but then with a growing concern asked, "What is going on with Joey? He just snapped when I tried introducing him to Ben." Jesse then asked as he was looking around the room, "Ben? Who's Ben?" At this point, Ben was sitting at the dinner table, not knowing what to do. Michelle answered his question, "Uncle Jesse this is Ben." She then grew more concerned about Joey and Jesse said, "Kiddo, I am not quite sure what is going on with Joey right now, maybe we should just give him some space."
Sunday Morning:
Danny was the first person to come down the staircase in his bathrobe to read the Sunday morning paper. But, he was taken back when he saw red ink circled around apartments in Los Angeles rather than San Francisco. He quickly shouted, "JESSE GET DOWN HERE!" As soon as Jesse saw the red in the paper he knew what Joey had done. Both Danny and Jesse called Joey's name, but he was not in the house.
