When lives matter but not enough,
When your existence chimes empty and lone,
When your world is dead and wounds unsewn,
When you move to keep going and fight for purpose,
When you die nine times over, but are never given mercy,
When your title is as much feared as it is loved well,
When you love someone so much, but know you never can tell,
When you stare death in the face, but guns don't matter,
When you wish once more that a close bond won't shatter.
