Everyday. Being further down into the stomach of the beast. Going deeper and deeper into the hell hole, while the difficulty of escaping increases.

Everyday. American movies, American music, American food.

American culture.

Matthew was being swallowed by his fucking brother.

His. Fucking. Brother.

When Matt first gained independence, he was free like the air above the ground. Free from Arthur and was able to fully cherish everything about Canada - himself. He would be able to actually make something of himself, rather than just being a dominion.

That's exactly when America kept growing bigger. STRONGER.

"Why?" Matthew begins to wonder. Is Matthew's heritage lost because of that…that… despicable nation? Matthew grimly looks down to his feet, with remorseful tears stroking down his cheeks, falling hardly like ice on his shoes.

"I'm getting more forgotten each day. More times bring mistaken for Alfred than I can remember. Even to the point… where I lost my identity."

"I give almost everything I get to America.

He only gives me some back.

I'm slowly getting reduced into a bitter little self..."

His face scrunches up with fear. With sadness. With depression.

"I don't feel Canadian anymore", those horrible death-striking words came out of the almost lifeless nation.

"I am… American." he struggled to gasp out.

As soon as Matthew said those last few words, the last he will ever make, he fell into the dark abyss, a seemingly never-ending hole, falling, falling, falling...

He plopped down unto the cold, hard bottom with a shattering noise and lied on top. No one saw this. No one even cared.

And with that, his body and soul slowly dissipated away into nothing, and disappeared from existence.

He sold his body to America.

He paid his price.

He lost himself.
