"Sarah, Wake up!"

Sarah Brooks was not your average teenager. She went to a normal high school with normal people, but she was not normal. She had two brothers, Zac and Drake, but no parents. She lived with her eldest brother because Drake was in prison.

*Flashback*

"Don't Drake!" Sarah shouted

"I have to don't you understand! They hurt us then left! And now they're back just when you got over the pain! I can't see you like this anymore!"

A man and woman sat crouched nervously in the corner. The woman gasped at her son's harsh words and the realisation of what she has done to her children. Drake aimed his gun and took two shots. The woman screamed and suddenly went limp.

Sarah screamed and was dragged out of the room by two comforting hands.

"I'm walking on sunshine, Whoa oh oh, I'm walking on sunshine, Whoa oh oh, and don't it feel good! Hey! Oh yeah yeah!"

*End of Flashback*

Sarah screamed and threw the pillow at the figure standing in her room.

"Ahhh!!! Am I really that bad at singing?"

Sarah laughed at her brother's stupidity. She had always loved him because he was there when Drake wasn't. She and Drake always used to fight and then he went and got drunk. She walked upstairs to get ready for school. Oh she was going to enjoy this not!

The worst part of Sarah's day was walking past the Nuson's house just as they were coming out of the door. Jake and Keith Nuson were good brothers and also great friends. But Jake had recently gone into Sarah's bad books.

She heard Jake shout after her but she kept walking. Suddenly he grabbed her arm. She gave him a sarcastic look and he frowned sympathetically back.

"Go home today Sar please! Just say your ill or something!"

"Why should I and don't call me Sar anymore. It's Sarah to you." Sarah retorted quickly. She saw pity in Jake's eyes which just made her madder!

"What are you doing here Jake?"

They both turned to face the way the voice came from and were surprised to see Keith standing there. Relief washed over Sarah for she knew that Keith would stick up for her.

"Don't you think you've caused Sarah enough trouble?! Go away!"

With that he grabbed Sarah and started pulling her. She was crying when they got about 10 feet away! Maybe Jake was right! Thought Sarah. Maybe I should go home.

Sarah cried all the way to school and didn't even stop when everyone started staring. Keith hugged her and told her to be strong. But all she wanted to was run.
