Delicious. That is the only word to describe this wonderful scent. How could anything smell this perfect? As amazing as it smells, the taste is truly what drives me insane. There is no way to resist. Not when this scrumptious treat is placed before me, ready to be devoured.
I move in on my meal, a smile curling the corners of my mouth. How wonderful that I have someone to present my supper to me, instead of the pointless routine that I would have to go through each and every time I feel the hunger, aching inside of me, ready to burst forth and consume all reason in my mind.
Time to feed.
I snatch up exactly what I need to make my feast the perfect experience. My mouth waters as I imagine the flavors that will course over my tongue, enveloping me in tastes so exquisite, only those who have tasted it could truly understand.
I rip open the barrier that keeps me from my meal, and see the dark red liquid already begin to drip. I spill the crimson fluid on the lush greenery, making sure my treat does not go to waste. As I sink my teeth into the banquet, I begin to taste a multitude of flavors.
The meaty part is soft, and it tumbles into my mouth in the most magnificent of ways. I also taste the grassy greenery; not my favorite flavor, but unimportant in my quest for satisfaction. The crunchy part has a unique flavor all its own, as it is the supporter of the entire snack. Finally, the most wonderful of flavors, the crimson liquid, pours onto my tongue. Its precious taste encircles me, and I lose all reason and control.
I cannot think, cannot stop, until there is nothing left. Breathing is unimportant to me, as the taste is all I needed. As I finally come up for air, I glance to the person sitting in front of me. She looks slightly stunned, but happy nonetheless. There is even a small smile gracing her lips. Those lips open, and she speaks to me.
"Are you ready to leave?"
"Yes, let's go."
We leave the building in silence, until she looks up at me. A smirk replaces the smile she had moments ago.
"So, Dad, did you enjoy your taco?"
"Yeah, Bells. It was delicious."
"I'm sure. You sure did put a lot of hot sauce on it."
I smile. "The hot sauce is the best part."
