Okay I have finally decided to start my Bingo challenge over at the Riverdale Fanfiction Challenge Forum.
Bingo Slot N (wait one minute there is no top roll that reads B.I.N.G.O. here lol) okay so as I was saying Bingo Slot #52 (Plot Point) - Protecting Someone
"Veronica?" A soft voice spoke from the direction of the bathroom door. A sea of blue green eyes looking at her very still best friend over at the sink.
"Go away B." Veronica's firm dead tone spoke.
Betty moved forward a few steps. She paused at how stiffer Veronica became. "No." She spoke in a low voice.
"I don't want you to see me like this." Veronica never took her eyes from the mirror. She glared at Betty's refection from behind her. "Go away." Her fingers tightened even harder against the sink.
Betty took another step. She stopped at Veronica's low growl. "I'm not leaving Veronica." She wrapped her arms around her waist.
"Please B." Veronica breathed as she felt her chest tighten. "I don't know how much longer I can hold it together B. I don't want you to see this."
Betty moved so she was standing right behind the shorter brunette. Her arms uncrossed from her waist; so she could wrap them around her newest best friend's body. She moved her front against Veronica's back. "Let it out. I'm strong enough." She whispered in Veronica's right ear. Her chin rested on Veronica's tight shoulder.
"I don't want to scare you off." Veronica whimpered as her fingers tighten against sink yet again. Seriously all the blood in her fingers have seriously left that area of her body for all time.
"You seriously saw me at my most scariest ... and it didn't frighten you off Veronica." Betty kept a steady stare into Veronica's eyes through the mirror. "You fought to bring me back. You begged me to come back."
"My darkness isn't like yours B." Veronica warned. Her eyes lowered.
"You protect me V. Let me protect you." Betty whispered as she snuggled even closer against the shorter brunette. "I'm not going anywhere."
Veronica began to shake. "I'm serious B. This is your last chance to leave."
Betty tighten her hold. "Just break I have you. I won't let you go." She promised as she kissed the side of Veronica's head.
Veronica silently broke. Her hands loosened from the sink, and rose to gripe on Betty's arms around her waist. Tears fell hard and silent as she stared into Betty's soft green blue eyes in the mirror.
Betty's right hand rose to gently turn Veronica's head so it could rest against the crook of her neck and she could gently massage the skin. "I got you." She whispered as Veronica silently broke. "I got you."
