A few notes, this is my first Fanfic, so please review to tell me how I did, and if you are giving me constructive criticism, try and word it nicely, please. The Point of View is from the character Hermione Granger. Hope that you enjoy!
The Proposal
Only one thing is on my mind right now… What to do next? We defeated Voldemort and we were free to do what we want. I turn to Ron. "What now?" I ask. "I have to find Ginny!" exclaimed Harry, bolting off. Ron ignores him and looks into my eyes. "Hermione…" he says. "I love you, I always have, and always will." As soon as he finished his last word, I lunged forward and hugged him. He kissed me lightly on the forehead and held my hand. He tilted my face up to his, and pressed his lips to mine. I felt his arms wrap around my waist. This moment was the best that had ever happened in my life. I couldn't help but smile. We stayed like this for a while and then I decided to say something, "Let's get back to your family." We held hands and ran back into the crumbled Hogwarts.
When we walked in, I saw Luna and Neville kissing lightly. I smiled, we might have just gone through a battle and we could have died, but we didn't. Ron and I slowed to a walk and we headed toward the Great Hall. Ron stopped and turned to me. "What?" I asked. "You have some dirt on your face!" he said, then grinned. "So do you." I replied, smirking. I remember the first day I met him, on the train to Hogwarts. I had told him that he had dirt on his nose. I love Ron, he always brings up good memories. There's a whole lot more that I love about him, his ginger hair, his eyes… I shouldn't carry on, but what can I say, Ron is the one. I lean forward and kiss him lightly on the lips. We then continue on. I hear Harry's voice. We turn the corner and Harry is talking to Ginny, they then kiss, for a while. "Uh, Mate… Can I talk to you?" interrupted Ron. They both jumped back from each other. I nudge Ron, it was definitely not the right time to interrupt them. "Sure," replies Harry. They go deeply into a conversation, which I can only hear bits and pieces of… it was something about a dinner or something.
I walk over to Ginny. "Is everything good with you and Harry?" I asked. "Everything's Great!" she replied, I saw her eyes light up. I smile, I can't help it, but I don't try to stop myself. "Is everything okay with you and Ron?" she asked. "Never Better." I replied. We then started talking about what we were going to do, and what jobs we were going to have, Ginny said that she wanted to become a housewife, and I said that I was going to either become a Healer or work in the Ministry of Magic. We then talked about what was going to happen in our future, Ginny said that she was probably would marry Harry if he would propose, I just nodded. She seemed to be on the talkative side, talking about Harry. They make a good couple. "We should own a house together!" she exclaimed, I gave her a look. I didn't know what look it was but I think it pleased Ginny. "The Four of us, and Neville and Luna could live in the house beside us!" she explained, excited. "Sure, maybe, I guess." I replied. I looked over to where Ron was, they seemed to be finishing up on the conversation.
So, I decided to walk over and say, "We have to go and see the others." They agreed. And we walked in the halls, toward the Great Hall. We were walking when Ron turned to face me. "Go on, we'll catch up." He said. "What's wrong?" I ask. He turns to me and gets down on one knee. Was this really happening? "Hermione Jean Granger. Will you marry me?" he said. "Yes!" I exclaimed. He got up and kissed me and I kissed him back. This is what I wanted, this is where I belong.
How did I do? Did you like it? I might add more if I am asked, but for now I am going to stick with what I've got. I hoped you liked it.
