A/N: The idea comes from a video I saw on youtube. Here's the link if anyone wanted to check it out. So credit goes to JessNO10 for the idea apart I decided to add the part with the Jess kiss. It will all make senses by the end of the story. Italics are flashbacks. And there may be a lot of grammar errors but French is my first language and I don't always notice.

Disclaimer: I don't own a think apart. All characters belong to Amy Sherman-Palladino and The WB/CW . If I did own the series Rory would have not said no to Logan's proposal and the series finale would have been way different.

Chapter 1

'I kissed Jess, why the hell would I do it?' Since getting in her car Rory had immediately left Philadelphia and drove to Stars Hollow.

'Jess is the past, I'm with Logan. God, why I am so fucked up? I can never be happy' Rory thought has thousands of things went thru her mind.

Her cell phone started ringing as soon as she pulled up to Stars Hollow. She pulled over and started looking thru her purse.

"Got it" Rory said snatching the phone from the bottom of the purse and looking at the caller ID. 'Logan' was written on the screen. 'Oh my god, I can't tell him. What do I do?'

"Hey" Rory said softly answering.

"Rory? Where are you?" A thick Australian accent came from the line.

"I just pulled up home, where's Logan? Did something happen?" Rory said panic evident in her voice.

Finn wasn't sure how to tell her. He took a deep breath. He had just lost one of his best friends and now he had to tell it to the only woman that made Logan commit.

"Logan's dead, he had been drinking all day and we tried to stop him from jumping but he wouldn't listen. When he jumped he somehow forgot to pull the flap that opened the parachute because he just kept on falling. They say he died as soon as he hit the ground." Finn explained as his voice got shaky towards the end.

Rory dropped the phone to the ground as tears welled up in her eyes. "No!" She yelled her. "Why didn't I stop him? He can't be…"

Lorelai saw her daughter's car and ran outside to see what the matter was. "Rory? What's the matter?" Lorelai said helping her up and inside the house.

"Logan, he's gone. I didn't even say goodbye."

She watched him pack his bag.

"I guess am going" Logan said zipping up his suitcase

"OK" Rory answered simply. All she wanted to say was don't go. But she couldn't.

"I'll be out of cell phone range for a few days" Were his last words to her.

"I know" She answered walking out the door. She should have run after him and stopped him from going. That she knew. But he was right, she hadn't forgiven him yet for sleeping with all of Honor's friends. And this was his payback.

Lorelai was unsure of what to say. It broke her heart to see her daughter in so much pain. She just hugged Rory and rubbed her back

'He was out sulking and I kissed Jess. I kissed Jess instead of stop him. It's my entire fault. I ran to my ex boyfriend instead of work things out with Logan'
